WELCOME TO PENASSI LAKE - WHERE REEL ACTION AND REAL SOLITUDE MEET
Enjoy the privacy of a remote outpost experience at Penassi. You'll have the only cabin on the lake, located just 36 air miles northeast of NestorFalls. A 20-minute flight gets you deep into the wilderness and on the lake fast.
Tucked amongst tall pines and cedars on the edge of the shoreline, this two-room cabin can comfortably sleep four. It's ideal for small groups and couples and is the ultimate wilderness retreat for two people who'd like to have their own private paradise.
PenassiLake is 3 miles long and features mostly rocky shorelines. You can experience good lake trout and pike fishing in its deep, dark waters. The northern and trout will keep you busy, but if it's walleye fishing that you're after, we suggest walking the 400' portage into PictureNarrowsLake to walleye central - here even novice anglers easily catch their limit. The lake produces many trophies every season with lots of smaller pickerel perfect for the frying pan.
Both lakes are outfitted with 14' aluminum boats with new 6 and 8 hp Yamaha motors. You'll find life jackets, minnow buckets, nets, unlimited gas, and lake maps to make getting around easy. There's also a canoe ideal for some quiet sight seeing and getting up close to the wildlife.
The cabin is equipped with everything that you'll need to make the most of your stay including a fully stocked kitchen, fresh bed linens, solar lights, hot shower, propane stove and fridge, bar-b-que and the smaller things such as toilet paper, paper towel and dish soap. If you love to cook you'll enjoy the large grill perfect for whipping up a big breakfast.
A fly-in camp check is provided for your comfort and safety every couple of days weather permitting.
