Our lakes sport a healthy population of several popular species. You'll get plenty of walleye, lake trout and northern pike action at both outposts, but if you want to test your bait-casting skills Loonhaunt has the added bonus of hard-hitting small and largemouth bass. Trophy fish are caught and released on our lakes each season with plenty of good eaters providing fast action.
For year-round adventure, Loonhaunt Lake is accessible during the winter by snowmobile. It’s just a short sled ride from Clearwater Lake or a 90-minute journey from our base in Nestor Falls. After a rewarding day on the ice, you’ll enjoy warming up by the wood stove and unwinding in the sauna.

Conservation Policy
Our outpost lakes have always been catch-and-release. We encourage guests to practice "catch and consume" fishing—enjoy a delicious shore lunch with fresh walleye right from the pan, one of the highlights of the fly-in experience. Returning most fish, especially the big ones, ensures our lakes stay full of action for future trips.
Our conservation efforts mean incredible fishing experiences. To protect our lakes, fish cannot be taken home, but this approach gives you the best chance to reel in plenty of fish, including trophy catches. Don’t forget your camera—you’ll want to capture those unforgettable moments! Together, we can preserve these lakes and create lasting memories year after year.
For your comfort, our outposts feature 14- or 16-foot aluminum boats equipped with Yamaha 4-stroke motors and raised swivel seats. We provide all the essentials, including life jackets, bait buckets, landing nets, boat cushions, and paddles, so you can relax and focus on the adventure.
